Hailed as the crowning glory of Bach’s choral work, the Mass was written across two decades and only completed in the very last years of Bach’s life. With each section of the Mass written independently, the most remarkable aspect of the piece is its cohesion as a unified work. The Mass in B minor, which was never performed in its entirety in Bach’s lifetime, is said to encompass every aspect of Bach’s style for which he is known as a master.
To celebrate that which is quintessentially Bach, come and experience the intricate genius and sublime heights of beauty in the Mass in B minor.
