Saint Cecilia was known for her love of God, the church and music, even singing and praising God right up until the moment of her martyr’s death.

As a way of paying homage to the great patron saint of music, Saint Cecilia, Sydney Philharmonia Chamber Singers will be performing some of the most revered works dedicated to her including Benjamin Britten’s A Hymn to Saint Cecilia, Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music and Henry Purcell’s Hail to Bright Cecilia.
