THE AUDITION WORKSHOP

Would you like to audition to join a choir but find the thought too daunting?

This workshop, held over two consecutive Sundays with tutors Cathy Kerr, Lynne Murray and Nadia Piave (who have done an audition or two themselves and know what it’s like!), will help!

You will:

develop an understanding of what choral directors are looking for, and what you can do to meet those expectations

learn confidence building tips and tricks to calm the nerves
work on strategies for sight-reading

take part in a mock audition in a friendly, supportive environment (no pressure!)

receive honest and helpful individual feedback about what you can do to improve your vocal technique and performance skills .

Places are strictly limited and you must be able to attend both days. Please bring a short (2 to 3 minutes in length) song that you can sing from memory.
