Vox Philharmonia's Youth ChoirVox

Philharmonia training the singers of the future

Vox is the advanced youth choir for singers aged 16-26 years. Started in 2005, VOX is a dynamic and engaging choir with a rapidly growing reputation for versatility and musical excellence. VOX had its debut solo performance with Sydney Symphony in February 2011 performing in Peer Gynt.

These talented young musicians present music from early a cappella repertoire to contemporary and popular vocal arrangements. They tackle challenging classical choral repertoire in concert with youth orchestras as well as presenting open air and site specific performances – 'Flash mob' Sydney Festival Opening events, Hyde Park, Central Station and Apple Mac stores.

What we want to achieve

• Continue the excellent musical direction for VOX.
• Support the participation of VOX in high level choral music performance with Sydney Symphony and collaborations with Sydney Youth Orchestra and Australian Youth Orchestra.
• Present choral music in accessible and contemporary settings.
• Better promotions to raise the profile of this talented ensemble so more young people can aspire to develop their skills.
