SYMPHONY CHORUS

The Symphony Chorus is the largest of Sydney Philharmonia’s permanent choirs with over 100 voices. Symphony Chorus performs the large choral orchestral repertoire with great precision and acclaimed performances have included the popular Handel’s Hits, Tippett’s A Child of our Time, Bach’s St John Passion and Orff’s Carmina Burana, as well as the world premiere of Sir John Tavener’s Lament for Jerusalem. During auditions, overall vocal quality, competent sight reading skills and an ability to blend are prized attributes.
