• Why is there a fee, and what does it pay for?

  The annual fees that choristers pay go towards the many costs associated with rehearsals and concerts, including music scores, rehearsal venues, rehearsal pianists, orchestral musicians, professional soloists, performance venue costs, our Music Staff etc. etc.  The annual fees paid by our choristers currently make up

• Can I miss rehearsals or concerts?

  We like choristers to attend all the rehearsals if they can, to make sure they’re prepared but also to make sure that the group as a whole is sounding at its best.  Each choir has some leeway for missing some rehearsals but generally not many (except if you’re ill, of course)!  We don’t apologise that we think choristers get the best out of projects when they make every effort to be at all rehearsals and concerts.

• What do I have to do in an audition? [include link to audition page]

  We know auditions can be scary, even for the most experienced singers, but we really want to hear what you can do (not what you can’t)! We hope that we can make it as comfortable as possible for you. You can find out more on the [Audition] page but essentially auditions last about 15 minutes, and we’ll ask you to sing a solo piece of your choice, and some scales and vocal exercises.
