Elizabeth Stuart – Non-Executive Director – Appointed
Elizabeth (Libby) Stuart is a non-executive director with over 15 years’ experience in the arts, education and disability not-for-profit sectors. She was previously Chair of Frensham Schools and is currently on the board of Piano + (Sydney International Piano Competition) and The Housing Connection.
Libby has a Bachelor of Arts (major in French) from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Prior to becoming a non-executive director, Libby practised as a lawyer, advising clients on a wide range of commercial matters and specialising in intellectual property law. She worked in private practice at Allens in Sydney and Herbert Smith in London and Singapore, prior to moving in-house where she was Assistant General Counsel at Fox Sports in Singapore and Hong Kong and at George Weston Foods in Sydney.
Libby has had a lifelong interest in classical music, singing in choirs and dramatic productions throughout school and university. As an adult, whilst living overseas, she sang with small choirs in London and Singapore, and she currently sings with the Willoughby Symphony Choir. Libby is also a keen amateur pianist and has an AMusA on the piano.
