Paul Lorraine – Non-Executive Director – Member
Paul is Executive Counsel at an internationally acclaimed specialist employment law firm. He has over 40 years’ experience in employment law and industrial relations, and his diverse career includes working in volunteer organisations, the union movement, the finance industry, senior policy roles in government, as a consultant, and, since 2007, in legal practice as a solicitor.
While at the New South Wales Cabinet Office, then as Assistant Director General of the former NSW Department of Industrial Relations, and as Executive Director of Industrial Relations Victoria, Paul advised the State Governments of NSW and Victoria on developing and implementing industrial relations policy and legislation, while leading significant organisation change. In his current role he advises a wide range of corporate, individual, and not-for-profit clients on all manner of contemporary workplace relations issues.
Paul has an Honours Degree in Law (LLB, Hons), is admitted as a barrister in NSW, and has a Master of Laws (LLM), majoring in dispute resolution.
He plays the classical guitar, and is a keen member of the SPC, participating in Chorus Oz, the Festival Chorus, and the Christmas Choir.
