Terence Kwan – Non-Executive Director – Appointed
Terence is a co-founding Partner at Fidelis Advisors, providing risk advisory services principally to financial institutions. Prior to Fidelis Advisors Terence spent 17 years at Macquarie Group as Global Head of Risk and Due Diligence for the Fund Finance team.
His undergraduate degree in Medicine and Surgery was completed at the University of Sydney. He practised medicine for two years prior to transitioning to the finance industry, undertaking a Master of Business Administration at the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Terence’s current Board positions include director of Women’s Community Shelters (WCS), a not-for-profit organisation assisting women and children fleeing domestic violence; Chair of that organisation’s Investment Committee; member of its Finance Risk and Audit Committee and Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group. He has also held Board positions at Radio Community Chest Choir and One Disease.
From the age of nine Terence has been strongly affiliated with choral music, singing in choirs through school and university. He sang at the opening ceremony of Sydney Olympics with Sydney University Music Society (SUMS) and established Macquarie Group Sydney Choir. He has also combined his love of choral singing with philanthropy, having organised numerous fundraising choral concerts.
